Career Semester is an innovative, remote skills-training program for students of all majors, created to accelerate students' careers in a rapidly changing job landscape.
It is designed to augment an undergraduate education in any field of study, focusing on the desirable areas of data science, investment finance, digital marketing, and more—providing skills relevant to any current industry.
Participants engage in a live skill-development bootcamp followed by an international internship, giving them the career-boosting experience they need. Career Semester programs are unlike anything most students have experienced before. Instead of streaming content designed for large audiences, each online course is taught live by industry experts who are trained to foster engagement and community.
After completing the course aspect of the program, students will be matched with a global internship partner and work with their peers on a real-world project that’s scoped to their skill set. Throughout the internship, students will receive consistent feedback and support from their manager, their peers, and Career Semester’s expert education team.
Career Semester programs are offered in three different formats:
Career Semester Remote
Participants take a live three-week skill-based course combined with an nine-week remote internship and get the unique experience needed to boost their career prospects. Options include:

Career Semester Summer Remote
Career Semester Summer Remote is an accelerated version of the semester program. This six-week program includes a two-week skill-based course blended with a four-week internship, all through live online instruction and company engagement. Options include:

Career Semester Abroad
Career Semester Abroad programs combine traditional study abroad programs with the Career Semester experience. Students will take two courses at the abroad university and participate in the Career Semester Remote Semester, but the internship will be in-person at a local business. Students will also undertake an internship course—worth another six credits from Carroll College, our school of record—thus earning them a full 12-14 credits for their semester abroad. Throughout the semester, all participants will enjoy excursions and cultural activities as well as high-quality on-site support, courtesy of ISA by WorldStrides.
